Design Communications Internship Programme

Design Communications is a North Shore based design studio offering short term internships for suitable students considering a career path in the exciting world of digital graphic design.

We have enjoyed a very satisfying experience working with several UK post-graduate design students here in New Zealand during their 'gap' year before starting full-time employment.

We wish to extend a similar service to colleges on Auckland's North Shore, offering assistance to students and providing a 'taste' of the field they are considering as a career.

This 'graphic taste' will provide hands-on experience in a busy graphics studio and prove invaluable in evaluating further study opportunities.

It is ideally suited to Year 6 and 7 students, and there is one internship position available every 6 months (3 months by arrangement). The suitable candidate will need to show aptitude, enthusiasm and graphic design skills and will be paid a realistic income.

The student will be working alongside a very experienced designer who is keen to pass on practical, hands-on graphic skills.
